Training for Teachers

Professional training

Former Primary Headteacher, Viv Hailwood, teaches professionals about the impact of neuro-developmental delay and how to identify problems and facilitate easier learning and functioning.

The workshops are designed to help teaching professionals to understand how early neurological development can cause children and adults to experience physical, cognitive, emotional and social difficulties in their lives.

They also provide a range of approaches and programs for working 1-to-1 and in group and class situations using the Brainchild Developmental Program.

Foundation Level – BC3 - The Key Infant Reflexes and the individual.

Developing your understanding through focussing on the 1-to-1 processes, you will learn in detail the effects of the key aberrant Infant Reflexes and the processes that can be used to address the problems. Assessment and a detailed program is taught with a large practical element.

This is an excellent course, rich and varied in its presentation of reflexes and many of the exercises and games will be compelling for children. The training program was well organised and took us through theory and practicals without confusion. It is immediately applicable to my group work with children.

After introducing the program in school... at my leaving assembly... my class kept saying that the PE lessons were fantastic as we played such super games! They were the Brainchild Program!

Very instructive, entertaining and informative. Fun to do, accessible and hugely participatory! Fulfils the mission of making learning fun!

A most enjoyable course. I felt engaged all the time. It helped me re-inforce and improve my understanding of the reflexes. It also helped me by having meaningful and exciting activities to use with the children.
