Attention, focus and concentration

Many of the children that come to Brainchild have issues with their attention span and concentrated listening. This usually relates to persisting spinal reflexes on the upper back that should have faded into the background. Their persistence frequently relates to the child’s birth process. Births that commonly link with this problem are:

  • Caesarian section
  • fast last stage
  • breech and assisted births (forceps/ventouse)

Other infant reflexes can contribute and make life even more difficult for the child at home and in school.

The impact on learning cannot be ignored.
